Mr P’s vet Rachel was really impressed with just how much the tendon had filled in and the improvement in the fibre alignment in light of the initial severity of the injury and timeframe.

Here’s a closer look at the improvement in Mr P’s tendon appearance over the last 5 months.⁣

In the top 2 pictures you can see the obvious difference between the left and the right SDFT (pictured at the top of the scan). In the tendon on the left you can see nice straight lines, whereas on the right we can see a major disruption to these lines, with large black areas within the tendon.⁣
⁣
In the bottom 3 pictures however we see a return to these lines, suggesting realignment of the tendon fibres. There are still some areas of scar tissue formation but overall it’s a huge improvement!​
